It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas!...=)

Every year at the start of the Christmas season, I always make a list of people I plan to give gifts to and allot each one of them a portion of what humble Christmas Bonus I'm expecting to get from my day job. And then on the side, I write what gift ideas i think would possibly fit the budget. Exciting. But also very very stressful. I mean, in how many ways can you stretch the diminishing Peso?! If only money grew on trees...
This early, I've already bookmarked some online shops I plan to buy gifts from and I'll share them with you on another blog post. I also plan to check out some bazaars in the Metro and go bargain hunting.

Carlainity has a line of women's bags called "Charyl". It's one of my personal favorites. The shape is classic and roomy for someone who has to carry 10 pounds worth of cosmetics, gadgets, and books all the time like me. Sturdy enough carry-all bag for roughing it everyday in the corporate world. It comes in various print and color designs. I love a splash of color in my wardrobe. Color is better than blah black and gray any day.
Here are some of the designs: Hot pink with gold piping, aqua blue striped prpint with silver piping and handles, and retro geometric print with bronze piping. You cant beat the price at only Php580 each!

I love this new Jessica bag from Carlainity, a local brand. I always make sure I drop by her shop at 50th Avenue, everytime I'm at the Galleria Mall. She has flawless taste in fashion and there's always something new and unique featured at her shop.
This one, according to her online shop, is made of canvass cloth with synthetic leather handles. The handles come in silver or black. It has inside pockets and one zip pocket at the back.
The best part is, it's only Php550! really pretty with it's whimsical egg print. A great everyday bag and professional-looking enough for office use. =-)

Just can't get enough of brass charms! These are lovely butterfly charms from Lucky. They're huge 3-dimensional butterflies. They look great up close. The details are very fine and they're made of good quality material. They're Php 390.00 each.

I've been invited to quite a number of birthdays, christennings, and baby showers this year and every single time, I'm always stressed about shopping for a gift cause I never know what gift to get.
It's great that I came across the R Nappy cakery site. I had to take a second look cause the first time I saw these, I thought they were made of real fondant frosting!
The "cake ingredients" are actually made of baby stuff from disposable nappies to baby socks and toys.

I love vintage-inspired brass and cut brass accessories. A personal favorite is the Kissing Kids Charm Necklace above from Luckysparks. The necklace has the whimsical theme "Kissing Under an Umbrella". Just looking at the charm makes me smile and has been a great conversation piece every time I wear it. =-)

If you plan to start a collection of brass accessories, it's important to know how to care for them to make them last a long time.

Brass is an alloy of Copper and Zinc. The Zinc component makes brass more durable than copper and gives it a yellowgold tone. Brass with less Zinc component makes it turn reddish in color and is sometimes called Red Brass.

Some important notes on caring for brass and brass jewelry:

--Keep them away from intense heat and sunlight.
--Do not wear brass jewelry to the swimming pool. Chlorine will damage it.
--Keep them away from metals or other objects that may scratch and damage the surface.
--Wipe brass jewelry with a clean cloth after every use.
--Clean brass jewelry regularly and gently with soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.
--To polish brass, you may buff them with a polishing cloth or add a minimal amount of metal polish like Glo or Wipeout.

These brass and laser cut brass neck pieces from Bijouxdelou are simply exquisite! I'm dying to purchase the little birdcage pendant in gold tone brass. It's so pretty with the tiny little bird inside! Her items are absolutely fabulous and one of a kind. They are not the usual charms and accessories you see at the malls or in bazaars around the Metro. These are must-haves if you want to be unique and fashionable. Prices range from 600-1K+. Pricey for some but It's definitely worth it.
I also like her other whimsical pieces like the farm animals brass charm. The girl in the tub necklace is sexy and perfect for accessorizing a plain baby tee.
